strengths, weaknesses, and gaps. Provide recommendations for updating the curriculum to align with the latest developments and UN standards in the HLP field. Provide translation of the HLP training manual in Urdu Language.

Output 2: Develop a revised curriculum framework and detailed course outlines based on the review report and input from stakeholders. Update the ICLA Curriculum / Training Module in English Language. Create updated training materials, including interactive elements, to enhance the learning experience and reflect best practices in English Language. Provide Translation of the training manual & materials in Urdu Language.

Output 3: Conduct pilot sessions with trainers and participants to gather feedback on the updated training materials in English Language. Analyse the results and make necessary improvements before finalizing the curriculum for broader implementation.

Output 4: Create a plan for ongoing monitoring of the training's impact and effectiveness. Establish feedback mechanisms to support continuous improvement and ensure the curriculum remains relevant and up-to-date over time. Additionally, develop a support package for trainers to facilitate effective implementation.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to perform analytical and research work;
  • Knowledgeable about planning, land use planning, urban planning and development;
  • Deliver outputs in a timely manner;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, coordination and facilitation skills


 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Masters in Law, Bar at Law or relevant field.

Work Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the areas of Humanitarian Law, HLP Law, training development. Responsible work experience in program management in the area of HLP manual development is considered as an asset.

Knowledge of local governance, local area and community is essential.

Language Skills:

Fluency in English as well as the national language of the country (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.

 

Instalment

Expected Outputs and Payment Schedule

1st instalment Upon submission and clearance of Progress Report on output 1 for 1-30 September 2023.

2nd installment Upon submission and clearance of Progress Report on output 2 for 1-31 October 2023

Due Date 31 October 2023

Payment 25%

3rd installment Upon submission and clearance of Progress Report on output 3 for 01 – 30 November 2023

Due Date 30 November 2023

Payment 25%

4th installment Upon submission and clearance of Progress Report on output 4 for 01 – 31 December 2023

Due Date 31 December 2023

Payment 25%

REMUNERATION

Lump sum payments will be made as per below payment schedule in Four instalments, upon the consultant’s submission of expected deliverables and evidence of satisfactory outputs/results upon certification and approval by UN-Habitat. The rate is determined by functions performed and experience of the consultant. The fee will be paid as per agreement.
