Software Engineer - JAVA

As a Java Developer at Confiz, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions that meet our clients' needs. Your expertise in Java and software development will be instrumental in shaping our technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, code, test, and deploy Java applications following best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and software architects to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Debug and resolve application defects and issues as they arise.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Continuously improve software development processes and practices.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in Java development.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar.
• Experience in Java and has worked with Java for at least 6+ months
• Experience with any Java IDE
• Knowledge of different Java components i.e. JRE, JVM, JDK, SE/EE, etc.
• Knowledge of at least one RDBMS like MySQL, Postgres, etc
• Knowledge of design principals - like SOLID, ACID, IOC, etc. – and some basic design patterns e.g. singleton or factory

Good to have

• Knowledge of a server e.g. Apache Tomcat, Jetty, Grizzly, etc.
• Knowledge of Spring or Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Web Services and REST APIs
• Knowledge of Maven/Gradle
• Knowledge of JUnit/Mockito
• Well-versed with version control systems e.g. GitHub, BitBucket
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline
