Technical Business Analyst WFH/Remote Work

We are looking for a Business analyst who can act as a medium or a channel between the business and IT developers. Our ideal candidate is someone who excels at analysing data and processes, determining areas of improvement or issues as well as the implementation of solutions. Since we are a company that utilises a massive database related to the education and employment sector, your role as an analyst is to help us bridge the gap between the business and IT aspect of the company in order to help us establish a more seamless transition of value as well as understanding between our developers and the business teams in the form of clear, actionable goals and objectives. You must be someone who is passionate about identifying as well as introducing changes that can be pertinent to the success of our platform at every instance.

Job Description

• Performing in-depth analysis that helps us identify and validate the requirements for both the business and technical aspect of the platform
• Maintaining detailed documentation that clearly outlines any business or technical requirements for the project and how we can fulfil them
• To help us manage and keep track of status reports and conduct status meetings regularly to ensure proper execution of tasks by developers and business personnel.
• Identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion via market research and analysis as well as any possible threats or barriers to them
• To help us with budgeting and forecasting
• To liaise with stakeholders such as business executives and IT project managers to ensure that organizational goals and objectives have been met up to the required standards
• Constant experimenting, testing, and checking of datasets as well as providing advise to other personnel who are also experimenting with the dataset like data scientists and administrators to ensure the maximisation of value that we can get out from the datasets
• To be a point of contact between the design and development team, ensuring that business objectives can be met through the implementation of designs and the overall functionality of the website/mobile application

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Business Administration and any other applicable major.
• Must be proficient in both written and spoken English
• Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience working alongside project managers is a bonus
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment under a lot of pressure
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must have at least 2 years of working with databases
• A certification in Business Analysis is a bonus
• Experience as a Project manager is a bonus
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must have strong critical thinking skills
• Strong creative thinking skills is a bonus

Technical skills

• At least 2 years of experience utilizing programming languages like HTML, SQL, Python
• Must be able to work with Json files
• Must have experience with business process mapping
• Able to use project tracking tools like Atlassian Jira
• Must have some familiarity with UI/UX tools like Adobe XD
• Must have some knowledge of API integrations
